We've added a robust, high-weight canvas to our repertoire after some time—a fabric you'll appreciate not only for various home and decor projects (think cushion or armchair covers, wink wink) and accessories (a great choice for a backpack or bag!), but also for a jacket for cool summer evenings. If you're considering using this fabric for garment-making, we recommend touching a sample. The fabric has a notably rough texture, and you might want to add a lining for a more comfortable feel in the finished piece.

The fabric has a truly high weight, so expect significant stiffness and a noticeable weight in the final product. However, canvas rewards you with exceptional durability and long-lasting performance.

Another great advantage is that canvas is easy to sew, making it suitable even for complete beginners. Sewing something basic from such a beautiful fabric might be the best encouragement that sewing is worth it.

HOW TO CARE FOR THE FABRIC:

Before use, it is recommended to prewash the fabric or otherwise treat it to account for full shrinkage (approximately 3%). A steam iron can also be used for shrinkage. Wash at a maximum of 30°C, preferably in cold water (colors will last longer); ideally, hand wash or use low spin speeds to avoid damaging the print. Avoid bleach and optical brighteners, do not tumble dry, and protect from prolonged direct sunlight.
