Atelier Brunette comes with a new, lighter version of gabardine. It is still grat for throusers, skirts or dresses. Compared to the heavier gabardine with weight 364 g/m2, this one is more flowy and airy. The fabric is easy to work with on not only clothing, but decorative projects, such as pillow cases or bags, as well.

The grand name "gabardine" refers to the twill weave, which is distinctive with its diagonal pattern. You typically encounter the twill weave in denim, and this cotton gabardine is quite similar to denim in terms of weight. However, it's much finer and more supple than standard denim.

These fabrics have very rich colors, and the manufacturer recommends washing them in cold water. Although the fabric isn't organic, given the vivid colors, it deserves similar care to maintain its appearance. Eco-friendly detergents are gentler on fabric colors and the water your washing machine will release into the sewer, and we recommend using them for various reasons. However, the choice is, of course, up to you. If you decide to use conventional laundry products, opt for those labeled as suitable for delicate fabrics and colored laundry.
