Paloma | Skirt Sewing Pattern
Product detailed description
A skirt with a high waist in a classic elegant cut. The buttoned placket can be sewn both overtly and covertly, and if you don't skip adding pockets, you'll be praising them on every occasion you wear the skirt.
We recommend this pattern for at least moderately advanced sewers, but there's no need to be afraid of it. We suggest sewing it from non-stretch or slightly stretchy fabric. Cotton, linen, denim, or hemp will work great. The pattern author also recommends viscose, and we would highly recommend someone to sew it from our bamboo twill.
"Paloma skirt is a unique women's pattern that will nicely complement your wardrobe. The pattern could be labeled as seasonal, but think again, it's not. By using different materials, you can certainly use the pattern throughout the year. In the warm months, you will mostly use cotton, linen, and dress materials, as well as viscose and lighter denim for its production. If you shorten it, it can also become a super mini skirt. In the colder months, on the other hand, use fabrics with a heavier weight such as corduroy, woolen materials, and dense denim." - Barbora Procházková
ABOUT THE PATTERN AUTHOR:
Barbora Procházková, a graduate of AAAD in Prague in the Studio of Liběna Rochová, brought to life a beautiful project. As a fashion designer, she decided that a large part of her professional work would be dedicated to passing on know-how. In her patterns, which she first introduced as her diploma thesis and now creates under the brand Project Sapience, you'll find pure creative joy. Bára has received some nice awards for Project Sapience, and we believe she certainly deserves them. She encourages us to desire to create our own wardrobe and provides a path to original clothing creation from different perspectives than what is common in the Czech Republic today.
