Echino canvas from the Japanese brand, designed by Etsuko Furuya, not only features striking and precise designs but also has another great quality: it's ideally robust for many decorative and utilitarian projects. Think bags, pouches, and pencil cases of all sizes, as well as cushions for the sofa or a bold curtain.

The fabric is very easy to sew, so even complete beginners need not worry. On the contrary, sewing something basic from such a beautiful fabric might be the best motivation to keep sewing.

However, be cautious when using it for clothing. We've seen skirts, dresses, and coats made from Echino canvas, and they are indeed beautiful. At the same time, this fabric can be slightly irritating on bare skin for most people, so you might want to add a lining.

HOW TO CARE FOR THE FABRIC:

Before use, it is recommended to prewash the fabric or otherwise treat it to account for full shrinkage. A steam iron is also sufficient for this. Wash at a maximum of 30°C, preferably in cold water (to preserve colors). Avoid bleach and optical brighteners, do not tumble dry, and protect from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
