At Mind the Maker, they have also switched their viscose to the EcoVero™ variant under the auspices of the Austrian company Lenzing. Currently, this certification is the most sustainable option for viscose (concerning water consumption, chemical use, and certification of wood growing conditions). Are you happy about it? We certainly are.
This drapey fabric comes in a very unique shade of blue, which perfectly complements the patterned pieces from this year's Mind the Maker collection. Thanks to the twill weave, the fabric has a slight stretch and, unlike crepe viscoses, it wrinkles much less. The fabric is opaque but still breathable and cool to the touch.
This fabric shines in classic blouses or shirtdresses. It also looks exceptionally good in flowing wide-legged culottes.
HOW TO CARE FOR THE FABRIC:
Before cutting, prewash the fabric to remove residual shrinkage. It is recommended to wash in cold water, iron on the reverse side at a low setting, and avoid using a dryer. For sewing, needles marked "microtex" are suitable.
